Womans Trio

"The Allure of acrobatics has always been magical, but acrobatic gymnastics has redefined the meaning and elevated it to a new level. This is performing arts without boundaries ... ballet without gravity."

Acrobatic Gymnastics unites the power and strength of gymnastics, skillful balancing and daring flips of acrobatics with creative, synchronized dance. The sport proudly joined USA Gymnastics (USAG) in 2002 as 1 of their 5 disciplines.

Many well known productions, such as Cirque Du Soleil and Realis, mainly consist of professionals who were once Acrobatic Gymnastic athletes.

The sport is comprised of 5 events: Women's Pair, Men's Pair, Mixed Pair, Women's Trio (3), and Men's Group (4). In one competition season an athlete usually competes in one event. In that event, the pair/group competes in a 2 minute 30 second balance, dynamic, and/or combined routine.

The balance routine consists of complex pyramids with intricate movements and static holds requiring immense strength and flexibility.

Dynamic routines consist of daring throws and catches, flips, twists, and individual tumbling sequences. The combined routine demonstrates both balance and dynamic skills.

Mens Four WCTC proudly supports acrobatic gymnastics and is home of the only acrobatic gymnastics team in the Livermore area.
